40,000-Year-Old Cave Paintings Discovered to Depict Britain's Borders, Historians Confirm

Researchers examining a previously unstudied section of the Lascaux cave complex have confirmed that paintings dating back approximately 40,000 years appear to depict a clearly defined border wall, a points-based mammoth entry system, and what experts are describing as “an early iteration of the hostile environment policy.”

“What we’re seeing here is remarkable,” said Dr Geoffrey Staines of the Institute for Heritage Values and Common Sense. “Early humans understood instinctively that unchecked mammoth migration posed an existential threat to the indigenous reindeer population. The liberal establishment has spent decades trying to suppress this.”

The paintings, which also appear to show a small boat being turned back across the English Channel despite the English Channel not existing for another 35,000 years, have been welcomed by commentators as proof that border security is not a modern political invention but a fundamental human instinct shared across all cultures, except the ones that came here and took our caves.

The discovery comes amid growing calls for the government to adopt a Palaeolithic approach to immigration policy, though critics have pointed out that Homo sapiens were themselves migrants who displaced the Neanderthal population already living in Europe.

Gavin Bacon of Reform UK described the findings as “vindicating.” “This isn’t about racism,” he said. “The cave people weren’t racist. They just had concerns. Legitimate concerns about mammoths.”

The Reform party has called for the paintings to be added to the national curriculum, subject to the removal of any accompanying historical context which they describe as “agenda-driven.”

The investigation is ongoing. We will report back.
